We’ve been tackling litter since 1967 and it’s still a big part of what we do today. Our clean up events and programmes are a great way to get out and about in your local community and make a difference. Clean Up Week Each year we hold our annual Clean Up Week – a week-long event which takes place every spring. In 2021, we had a total of 30,390 volunteers take part collecting almost 295 tonnes of litter across an area equivalent to 2,589 rugby fields! This is a great opportunity to get your friends, family, school, business or local community group together to participate in New Zealand’s largest clean up event. Community clean ups are great fun. They’re a fantastic way to bring people together, make a difference in your local community and Keep New Zealand Beautiful. By registering your clean up event with us we can support you with free clean up kits and resources.
