Clean Up Week

Every year during our annual Clean Up Week we mobilise Kiwis to come together, join forces and get out into their local community to pick up litter. Together, each and every year, we make a huge difference.

Clean Up Week is a great opportunity to get your friends, family, school, business or local community group together to participate in New Zealand’s largest clean up event and to make a positive and tangible impact in your local community.

In 2021, we had a total of 30,390 volunteers take part collecting almost 295 tonnes of litter across an area equivalent to 2,589 rugby fields!

Clean Up Week 2022 is kicking off on World Clean Up Day  – Saturday 17 September and will run through till Friday 23 September 2022.  Organise a team to clean up your own little patch of the world and be part of a global movement to make a difference. Registrations for Clean Up Week open at the beginning of July 2022.

If you’re interested in organising a clean up event outside of Clean Up Week, then you can register a community clean up event here.
