MAY VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

We are excited to announce Gayle Hammond as the winner of the New Zealand Couriers Volunteer of the Month for May.

Gayle is an absolute powerhouse of a volunteer in South Invercargill.

She is a nurse working shift work at the local freezing works, and in her very limited spare time devotes countless hours towards beautifying South Invercargill through managing community gardens and hanging baskets in the main street, leading the South Alive charity’s Zero Rubbish initiative (http://southalive.co.nz/OperationZeroRubbish), as well as volunteering as the Secretary of the South Alive Board of Trustees.

Gayle has endless energy and enthusiasm and quietly works away achieving really phenomenal results. We are proud to formally recognise her for the enormous contribution she makes to South Invercargill.
