Congratulations to our Tidy Kiwi Volunteer of the Month for June, Kilda Northcott!

Congratulations to our Tidy Kiwi Volunteer of the Month, Kilda Northcott!

Kilda is an active environmentalist in Port Chalmers. Before the Covid-19 outbreak she was consistently picking up litter in her community. In addition, she has been lobbying her local government for the installation of public ashtrays and litter traps in storm drains. She is passionate about helping the environment become, and remain, a healthy place for all living things. Kilda’s environmental activism is multi-faceted and the saying that has guided her throughout her life is, “leave the environment better than you found it!”

Congratulations again, Kilda! Thank you for doing your part to Keep New Zealand Beautiful.

Kilda has generously donated her $100 prize money which will go towards a butt bin or litter trap.

The winner of Volunteer of the Month receives $100, a Keep New Zealand Beautiful t-shirt, a bag, Resene paint voucher and more – along with being automatically nominated for the Tidy Kiwi award at our annual Beautiful Awards!

If you know someone who does great work keeping New Zealand beautiful, you can nominate them here.
