Congratulations to our Tidy Kiwi Volunteer of the Month for January, Kumar Kumareswaran !

Congratulations to our Tidy Kiwi Volunteer of the Month, Kumar Kumareswaran.

Kumar is very passionate about the environment in Lower Hutt City and is an active member of the Keep Lower Hutt Beautiful committee. He regularly encourages and brings along other people to the many clean up events run by the branch, including those along the rail corridor.

Kumar also volunteers as a teacher aid for Lower Hutt schools that do not have a lead teacher for the Enviroschools programme, and for a community event called Tumeke Taita where he takes on the role of Waste Minimisation Manager. He also volunteers to assist people in need of food parcels.

Hutt City Council Waste Minimisation and Sustainablity Advisor and Chair of Keep Lower Hutt Beautiful, Sandy Beath-Croft, says Kumar is an amazing volunteer and an asset to the Lower Hutt community.

Congratulations again Kumar and thanks for all your hard work to Keep Lower Hutt Beautiful and for inspiring others!
