Daniel Anderton wins June Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Daniel Anderton, our Volunteer of the Month for June.

Daniel is the founder of the group Down To Earth Kiwis NZ (DTEKNZ). The group have cleaned up over 50 beaches in Auckland and have plans to head to Taranaki for some clean ups in September. The group has members throughout New Zealand who clean up beaches, reserves and creeks in their local area.

“I am a proud Kiwi, I love my country and want my kids and their kids to share the same experiences as I did growing up. This includes eeling, fishing, hunting, diving, gardening, sports, hangi, camping and sharing it all with Whanau.”

“We are open to anyone and everyone joining us, especially involving children. It’s a beautiful thing to see kids and adults put in the hard work giving love and respect to our environment then enjoying it with a swim or game of sports and a shared meal which DTEK provides.”

Daniel is very grateful for the support of his DTEKNZ family and friends, and without their help he says he would not be able to do what he does.

Congratulations Daniel and thank you for your hard work to Keep New Zealand Beautiful.

The winner of the New Zealand Couriers Volunteer of the Month receives $100, a KNZB tshirt, New Zealand Couriers bag, Resene paint voucher, Klean Kanteen drink bottle, a 6-pack of Vista Drinks sparkling water and more – along with being automatically entered into the annual Beautiful Awards!
