Our Beautiful Awards are New Zealand’s longest-running sustainability awards and provide a benchmark for environmental excellence. Run annually since 1972, the Awards inspire, recognise and acknowledge those individuals, schools, community groups, towns and cities working passionately to Keep New Zealand Beautiful.Beautiful Awards 2023This year’s Beautiful Awards consist of 13 awards across four categories: Individuals, Community, Places and Towns & Cities. Thanks to Resene there will also be a Supreme Award available in the Towns & Cities category, with the winning town or city winning a mural painting valued up to $10,000.We asked Kiwis everywhere to nominate the people, projects and places that they believed illustrate the height of environmental excellence in Aotearoa. From all the nominations received, our Beautiful Awards judges chose this year’s recipients and finalists.Congratulations to the winners and recipients of the Beautiful Awards 2023Towns & CitiesMost Beautiful Towns & Cities Supreme Award winnerTaupōMost Beautiful Large CityTaurangaMost Beautiful Small CityNew PlymouthMost Beautiful Large TownWhakatāneMost Beautiful Small TownArrowtownMost Beautiful Tiny TownAwanuiPlacesBest Loo AwardOkere Falls Scenic Reserve, RotoruaBest Street AwardProudly sponsored by ReseneBuckingham Street, ArrowtownKiwis’ Choice AwardProudly sponsored by ReseneTe Ātea, TaupōCommunityCommunity Group AwardRiverlution, ChristchurchSustainable Schools recipientsProudly sponsored by ReseneNelson Intermediate School, NelsonWaiheke High School, AucklandWaihi Beach School, WaihiEnvironmental Service AwardKeep Richmond Beautiful, NelsonIndividual recipientsTidy KiwiAntonia Wood, DunedinIsaac Adams, Lower HuttKaren Lee, WhangāreiYoung LegendLuca & Harley Evans, AucklandNate Wilbourne, NelsonTyson, Zac & Eli Ogle-TurnerDownload the Beautiful Awards 2023 CriteriaDownloadBeautiful Awards 2020 winnersBeautiful Awards 2021 winnersBeautiful Ball 2023 photos
