1 Feb 2026Sean is a true Eco-Champion. He has been an active member of the Greenhithe Community Trust Ecology team for over 5 years, and he leads the Friends of William Gamble Reserve group. He is a former president of the East Coast Bays Rotary Club. When that Club dissolved and joined up with other local groups to become the North Shore Rotary Club, he became a founding member of that club. Through his work with Rotary, Sean spearheads the North Shore Rotary clubs’ KNZB clean up days. In 2025 he organised two clean ups around the North Shore with over 100 volunteers attending including school students, businesses and local residents. These cleanups created a positive impact on the many people who use these often-neglected outdoor spaces. It also made the areas more welcoming for native animals and birds. Also, in 2025 Sean supported the Upper Waitemata Coastal Clean Up by leading one of the sites in Whenuapai ensuring Rotary volunteers were dispersed where they were needed at other sites around the Upper Harbour area of Auckland. Sean leads by example in a compassionate, caring and nurturing way to inspire those around him. North Shore is truly a better place for having Sean campaigning and taking action to Keep North Shore Beautiful. Thank you, Sean, for Keeping New Zealand BeautifulShare this page
