Denis Hancock awarded November Volunteer of the Month!

Denis Hancock with Hon. Scott Simpson at the KNZB Beautiful Awards, Hastings, October 2017.

KNZB are thrilled to announce Denis Hancock as the November Volunteer of the Month, proudly sponsored by New Zealand Couriers!

Denis Hancock is one of the most valuable volunteers on the Keep Hastings Beautiful Team. He wants Hastings to be litter-free and that drives him to travel the city on his custom bike, fitted with two bins flying the New Zealand flag, picking up rubbish. He has been picking up litter from the streets since 1985; over that time filling more than 44,000 bags of rubbish. But his service is not limited to Hastings; he travels as far Dannevirke to help clean up. Denis Hancock is truly committed to Keeping New Zealand Beautiful.

Congratulations, Denis – a true inspiration to all of us at KNZB!
