Carol Lamb awarded Volunteer of the Month for May!

KNZB are thrilled to announce Carol Lamb as our Volunteer of the Month for May!

Carol  has  tirelessly  patrolled  Taupo  a  number  of  years  documenting  and  collecting  tonnes  of  rubbish  from  the  wider  Taupō area. Carol  doesn’t  discriminate,  picking  up  rubbish  from  roads,  reserves,  walkways,  paths  and  the  lakefront.

Carol’s  rubbish  laden  bicycle  and  bright  yellow  hatchback  have  become  common  sites  around  the  district  making  Taupōa  tidier  place  to  live. Her  particular  passion  is  trying  to  keep  the  main  northern  entrance  to  Taupō,  Wairakei Drive,  clear  of  litter, which can  amount  to  between  40kg  to  50kg  a  month. Carol is an absolute inspiration who totally walks the talk when it comes to doing the right thing!

Thanks for all your efforts, Carol!

The winner of the New Zealand Couriers Volunteer of the Month receives $100,  a KNZB tshirt, New Zealand Couriers bag, Klean Kanteen drink bottle and more – along with being automatically entered into the annual Beautiful Awards!
