Lucas Armstrong wins July Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Lucas Armstrong, our Volunteer of the Month for July.

Lucas is determined to Keep New Zealand Beautiful. As a student of AGE School in Auckland, he leads by example and actively encourages his peers to take part in community clean ups.

Lucas collects litter washed up at Takapuna beach near his school and tries to either recycle or re-purpose it. He also works with his school group to monitor the seasonal effects to marine life at the beach. Lucas overcame his fear of public speaking and spoke in front of Jane Goodall at the Compassionate Leaders forum, sharing his love of caring for the community and the environment, and the value of actively taking part.

Congratulations Lucas and thank you for your hard work to Keep New Zealand Beautiful. Aotearoa needs more young people like you!

The winner of the New Zealand Couriers Volunteer of the Month receives $100, a KNZB tshirt, New Zealand Couriers bag, Resene paint voucher, Klean Kanteen drink bottle, a 6-pack of Vista Drinks sparkling water and more – along with being automatically entered into the annual Beautiful Awards!
