Clean New Zealand Beautiful

We’ve been tackling litter since 1967 and it’s still a big part of what we do today. Our clean up events and programmes are a great way to get out and about in your local community and make a difference.

Clean Up Week

Each year we hold our annual Clean Up Week – a week-long event which takes place across Aotearoa.

In 2025, we had over 4000 volunteers register to take part in clean up events across the country. Volunteers collected a total of 30 tonnes of waste, that’s the same weight as a Sperm Whale!

This is a great opportunity to get your friends, family, school, business or local community group together to participate in New Zealand’s largest clean up event.

Community & corporate clean ups

Throughout the year we support individuals, families, schools, businesses and community groups to run their own clean up events.

Corporate and community clean ups are great fun. They’re a fantastic team building event, a great way to bring people together, all while making a difference and Keeping New Zealand Beautiful.
