We're picking up rubbish around the Pahiatua
Students from Newlands Intermediate will collect rubbish from the four areas in our suburb. These include Newlands Road, Seton Nossiter Park, Te Ara Papararangi and Ladbrooke Drive.
We will walk from Playcentre at 134 Newlands Road to Pukehuia Park, collecting all the rubbish we find along the way. Come down and clean for a couple of hours with us at one of our most troublesome spot here in Maketu. Then head to the marae for a BBQ and a refreshing talk with a scientist from the Waikato University about the science of returning freshwater to our Estuary.
