Maunga Clean Up Turoa 2023

Grab your pick-sticks and rubbish bags and join Project Tongariro for a half-day clearing the slopes around the Turoa Ski Field of rubbish and litter.

Bring along your friends and little ones and help care for the maunga.

• Trip length: 2-2.5 Hours
• Minimum age: All ages. 0-15 years with adult supervision
• Max participants: No limit
• Meeting place: Tūroa Ski Field, Ohakune Mountain Road, Tūroa, Mt Ruapehu

PARTICIPANTS ARE ASKED TO BRING:

• Appropriate footwear (e.g. hiking boots) for walking on volcanic rock and uneven ground
• Water and snacks
• Sunscreen/sunhat/sunglasses
• Windproof jacket
• Mobile phone

Please note: the trip leader reserves the right to refuse anyone who is insufficiently equipped. Cancellation weather dependent.
