DESCRIPTION:Kia Ora fellow Concord & Dunedin locals.\nI’ve been saddened about the amount of rubbish littered along Stevenson Road from the Concord Garage down to the Concord shops along the grass verge\, bushes and in our stream. \nLast year we only had 5 volunteers but still managed to fill x6 big rubbish bags from this area.\nI’m hoping by changing the clean up date to a Saturday afternoon we may get more volunteers\, come for as little or as long as you like.  \nCome along and meet some neighbours while we are at it and beautify our neighbourhood.

Join us at our monthly community street clean to get stuck in cleaning up our awesome streets. \nCome join the Sustainability Trust crew on your lunch break and make a difference. \nWe’ll spend roughly an hour out on the streets and waterfront with our litter pickers making the pavements a waste-free zone. \nYou’re welcome to join us for as little or as long as you like\, just pop along to Sustainability Trust HQ @ 12 pm and do your bit to help make Welly waste-free. The more hands the merrier! \nRemember to wear comfy shoes\, bring a hat and plenty of water. We will have plenty of sunscreen and sanitiser available and will provide everyone with litter pickers and buckets. \nThese litter pickups take place on the third Wednesday of every month.

DESCRIPTION:After-work Beach cleanup at Paritutu Centennial Park (Back Beach) – Tuesday 19 September – 4pm (it is fine to be late!).  \n\n\n\nCome and help us clean the Paritutu Centennial Park and Back Beach! \n\n\n\nThis cleanup is organised by Taranaki Conservationists and Sustainable Taranaki. \n\n\n\nThis event is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome! \n\n\n\n4pm (or later) – Meet at the top parking of Paritutu – Centennial Park (see poster for the location or see on Google Maps here) for a briefing. Bring your own gloves and buckets if possible but we’ll provide some if needed! \n\n\n\n6:30pm (or earlier) – Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (recycling and landfill will be separated) and discuss with Dave\, our Zero Waste educator! \n\n\n\nDave\, the Junction’s Zero Waste Educator\, will engage will all of us about reducing waste and how we can all do better!   \n\n\n\nNo RSVP required!
