Come in costume and try trick or treating with a twist – pick or treating. Grab a jack-o-lantern bucket and hit the beach to clean up litter and any other treasures you may uncover! \nWe’ll meet on Redoubt St\, near the Float Plane\, and divide and conquer from there. All supplies will be provided and then you can choose to venture along the beach\, the town centre\, or lakefront footpath. Let’s clean up Taupo\, one piece of litter at a time! \nAt the end\, there will be treats to reward your hard work.

DESCRIPTION:An increasing amount of plastic is entering the ocean and killing marine life at alarming rates. We can take direct action to reduce this problem by removing trash from beaches and important marine animal habitats.   Join our passionate volunteers as we work together with local communities to clean beaches and waterways around the country and raise awareness around the issue of marine plastic pollution. They are free to join\, family-friendly\, and inclusive; we love seeing children\, teens\, students of all ages\, adults\, and seniors come along and get involved with being part of the change our local communities and ecosystems need.  \nWe will be meeting at 9:30 AM near the Skate Park for a briefing.  Please bring gloves (reusable if possible) and your face mask. Clean-up bags will be provided.

DESCRIPTION:As warm weather is coming\, Leos Service Group will be holding a clean up at the Oamaru gardens on the 19th of September. This clean up is open to the public and we encourage all to come if you want to lend us a hand in making this paradise ready for summer. It will go from 10am to 2pm on Sunday. \nLeos is a youth-run service group that operates out of SKC Oamaru. Members of Leos\, alongside Lions Group\, will be managing the event to ensure that not only are we all having a good time\, but we are big efficient and working to remove as much rubbish as possible. This rubbish will then be taken to the Oamaru Refuse Transfer station and disposed of.

DESCRIPTION:Come join us for our Keep New Zealand Beautiful Clean Up Week Pauatahanui community event. \nWe have found over the past couple of years that it is best to keep our event as flexible as possible so will set up a self-help table at our front door for our volunteers to rock up any time they can over the weekend.   \nPlease bring your own sturdy gloves\, buckets\, tongs – but we will have a few rubber gloves as well\, Council rubbish bags (for trash)\, feed sacks (for recycling – which you can leave and we will sort/wash)\, high-vis vest (1-2 per group if needed – please return).  \nHead out anywhere you choose – just be extra safe and avoid any roadways >50km.
