With support from Dunedin City Council\, we are going bigger and better\, especially in avoiding sending items to landfill. We’ll have a team of dedicated volunteers assessing and diverting as much as possible away from the skip\, as well as a cloth swap shop for unwanted items\, The community can bring along paint\, scrap metal\, plant punnets and pots for re-use and recycling. The Stitch Kitchen team will be on site to help repair or re-purpose clothes for those who wish to do so. It’s all taking place on the grounds of our Valley Project. \nThere will be children’s entertainment as well as presentations by Enviro-schools on waste minimisation and repurposing\, food for volunteers and the public provided by the wonderful community-minded Dunedin Bowling Club and much more! \nIt’s all happening on Saturday 24 September 2022 from 11am to 3pm.
