DESCRIPTION:To celebrate Keep New Zealand Beautiful’s Clean Up Week this year\, EcoSolutions Far North and Para Kore\, the team that run the Kaitaia Market Recycling are bringing you The Kaitiaia Kaitiaki Clean up 2022 andwe’d love for you to join us! \nWe want to empower our local community to become kaitiaki and create awareness about what litter is out in our community. \nChoose a spot on the way to the Kaitaia Saturday marketing to clean up \, bring your bag to market and contribute to the clean up of Kaitaia and surrounds! \nThere will be extra bins at the market to divert the recyclables we collect as well as rubbish bins to make sure litter heads to the right place instead of our Moana. \nWe will run a waste audit during this event to add to the Te tai Tokerau litter debris monitoring project. \nMake sure you separate recyclables from litter when you are collecting\, we recommend carrying two smaller bags instead of mixing one big bag… \nParticipants:Please provide your own gloves\, collection buckets\, high-viz vests\, sanitiser\, sunblock\, first-aid and water as needed.use garden gloves and common sense when litter picking! \nEveryone is welcome to join us. We will be sorting/cleaning as much as we can to ensure that we recycle everything possible. Participants will be responsible for their own health and safety! \nAs EcoSolutions is registered with Timebank\, you can receive time credits for this activity if you are a member or choose to sign up.
