There will be extra bins at the market to divert the recyclables we collect on the way to market\, as well as rubbish bins to make sure litter heads to the landfill instead of our Moana. We will run a waste audit during this event to add to the Te tai Tokerau litter debris monitoring project. \nMake sure you separate recyclables from litter when you are collecting\, we recommend carrying two smaller bags instead of mixing one big bag… Please use garden gloves and common sense when litter picking!

DESCRIPTION:Hello fellow Dunedinites\, \nI’m feeling very saddened walking around my suburb of Concord and seeing the amount of rubbish along the busy thoroughfare of Stevenson St and notice a lot of other people walking this route. \nThere is a noticeable amount of rubbish littered from the Concord shops right up to the Concord Garage. \nMy idea is to get a group to safely pick up and dispose of the rubbish that is scattered in all of the grass along Stevenson Street and beautify our suburb while encouraging others to do the same in other suburbs of our beautiful city. \nThank you in advance for joining or supporting this cause and getting to know our neighbour’s while we are at it. 😊
