September Volunteer of the Month goes to Bruno Martin-Edwards!

Congratulations to Bruno Martin-Edwards, our Volunteer of the Month for September!

In Bruno’s nomination, he was described as a dedicated conservationist and environmentalist. Aged 10, last year he organised a petition to ban plastic bags, which he promoted online and at his school. He takes part in regular clean-up events in our community and this year he has taken it upon himself to organise a clean-up himself, of his local park in Aro Valley. On his own initiative he has ordered a pack of gloves and bags from KNZB, has made posters to distribute around the community and has talked to his school principal to ask her to put a notice of the clean-up in the school newsletter. He’s a member of Kids Conservation Club, he loves nature and looking after our native flora and fauna. He wants to become a DOC ranger when he grows up. He’s passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated, and certainly deserves to be rewarded for his efforts!

The winner of the New Zealand Couriers Volunteer of the Month receives $100, a KNZB tshirt, New Zealand Couriers bag, Klean Kanteen drink bottle, two dreamy Vendella pillows and more – along with being automatically entered into the annual Beautiful Awards!

If you know someone who does great work keeping New Zealand beautiful, you can nominate them here.
