Kaiapoi - Christmas 2007

Christmas comes to Kaiapoi - and the Kaiapoi Beautiful Towns Committee add its own special flavour

As Roger Foulds reports: "Had a great time walking through the streets of Kaiapoi as part of the 50th Kaiapoi Christmas Carnival and celebrating 150 years as the Rivertown of Kaiapoi . Had great assistance from my ALB assistants , who had big baskets of lollies to hand out to the children . Also the Kaiapoi Walkers walked in behind the Kaiapoi Beautiful Towns Float carrying the anti litter message. The Best Town Award 2007 trophy was carried high on the float by Hans."

Roger says the crowd applauded as the float went by.
