Keep Dunedin Beautiful, Beautification Awards

Each year the Keep Dunedin Beautiful Committee holds an award ceremony to recognise the groups and individuals who have completed beautification/environmental project during the previous year.

Any one can be involved, and The Keep Dunedin Beautiful Committee encourages and invites schools, community groups and individuals to nominate those who have taken part in environmental/beautification work.

A small sample of activites done by past winners include; litter and or weed clean ups, planting of plants and shrubs, painting murals, removal of graffiti vandalism, reducing the amount of waste going to the land fill or raising awareness of litter issues.

Winners from throughout the Peninsula Kati Huirapa Runaki Puketeraki - highly commended

Nominations can be as simple as a paragraph about the activity undertaken, however, the more detail that s supplied, including photos, helps the judging process.
