Yes we cracked 1.3 million Kiwis out cleaning up!

We were aiming for 1.3 million of you! And we did it. Thanks to all who took part

Clean Up Week ran from Saturday 8 September through until the following weekend Sunday 16 September 2007.

Last year some 900,000 New Zealanders, young and old, took part and what a difference they made. This year we were swamped by 1.3 million people.

Both town and country got a great spring clean and it was a lot of fun doing it.

Already we're planning for next year. Whether it is picking up rubbish in parks, sports fields or city streets, making our school litter free, cleaning out a local stream or estuary of rubbish, scrubbing off some graffiti, mural painting, 'trash to fashion' shows... there are hundreds of ways you can help.

Keep New Zealand Beautiful have massive support from New Zealand's best known companies, helping us out with providing the funds and resources we'll need to make Keep New Zealand Beautiful Clean Up Week 2008 an even bigger success than this year's.

Central and local government are fully supportive, contributing financially and logistically to the success of KNZB Clean Up Week 2008.
