Part one catalogues the achievements over the last 18 months, these achievements reflect the strict governance applied, together with the rigid financial accountability generated a strong credibility projection.

Over the last 18 months Keep New Zealand Beautiful was subject of a government audit again our credibility and governance was unsurpassed.

Funding was mainly secured from the corporates, central government, plus the rapidly expanding membership base.

Membership has been the main contributor to the finances; the national office has driven a successful membership drive and is continuing to enlist further members.

The reader of this report has to respect the passion that drives the national office. The direction and thrust has achieved the results as stated in part one.

The proximity of the national office in relationship to government has been successful when physical presence with government is required it can be achieved within hours.

National offices rapport with central government and local government has developed to a high degree, their response is indicative of this statement.

`Pro Bono', a word that national office staff accept, but the respect for their efforts has been lost on several occasions.

The national office has emerged from somebody's garage with numerous boxes of haphazard indexed records. Over the past eighteen-month period data bases have been established out of the boxes, now at least we know whom our members are and they have a centralized point to contact.

Communication is the proven success formula.
